Bugis is a short story composed by Alfian Sa’at. A lot of pretending issue in this short story. As an example a character called Salmah pretending to be a nice girl by wearing a tudung, a scarf which wear by Muslims. She is not as nice as she look like. She wear the tudung for a lot of reason such as gain her mother trust so she can meet her boyfriend at school. Another clear example on pretending issue is the transvestite in the MRT scene. The transvestite is a person who is typically a man who derives pleasure from dressing in clothes considered appropriate to the opposite sex.
