Journal 5 (Hungry Ghost)
According from short story, Hungry Ghost written by Hwa Hwee Tan, Buddhist Chinese funeral showed a lot of ritual and belief. Example of belief is that the priest and nuns as a small army whose rituals supposedly to rescue the dead person from the clutches of some kind of demonic god and lead the dead across the bridge to heaven. Serving orange sodas to visitors and kids. Unlike when a Muslim passed away. In Islam, people, usually close families and friends gathered praying and citing Yassin. Muslim does not have a funeral until forty-nine days like in Buddhist funeral. They usually settle it down as soon as possible. In a lot of differences, there is a similarity. Both religions believe in Heaven and Hell after death.
